Brain Health and Vtiamins and Minerals

As a speech-language pathologist, I am always interested in the effects of vitamins and minerals on our brains.

A study by British researchers looked at healthy men, women, and children and the effects of vitamins and minerals on mood, stress, memory, accuracy, attention, and multitasking.

The study was randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, with parallel groups for
4 - 12 weeks.

The basic findings were with Daily supplements of:

A Vitamin B-complex/vitamin/mineral complex improved cognitive performance plus stress and mental health.

A Multivitamin/Mineral complex inceased women's accurancy and speed in multitasking

Kids 8 through 14 increased their accuracy in tasks which required increased attention.

This is nothing new to me. I have been advocating for increased supplementation for improving thinking skills in all ages.

I use the Healthy Start Pak which includes omega-3 fatty acids for overall improved health. It also helps my bones and joints!
